Villa Efiren sits inside a small compound of four architect-designed villas that share a security post at the entrance. The neighbourhood of Tumbak Bayuh is a favourite with expat families: the beach, the cafés of Canggu and the road towards Ubud are all within easy reach, yet the setting itself stays calm and green.

The brief was straightforward – a home for families who want quality of life without giving up on aesthetics. The result is a tropical villa with a distinctly contemporary look. The architects work with local elements and the natural surroundings of each plot, while the developer relies on premium materials and a dedicated contractor building to European standards.

Layout

On the ground floor, a sunken living area flows into an open kitchen and dining space. Two semi-separate rooms can serve as guest bedrooms or home offices. Outside, a 94 m² swimming pool with pool decks, an outdoor dining area and landscaped tropical gardens wrap around the building.

The first floor is reserved for the private quarters: the master suite and bedrooms two and three, each opening onto an interconnected terrace with views over the pool, the garden and the neighbouring rice paddies, and leading on to an outdoor chill-out corner.
